Romans 10:14-17

English Standard Version
14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?[c] And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

So, here we are. We are now winding down our mission trip. We will be heading home. Back to the spheres of influence in our lives. After what we have learned from our study of Romans chapter 10 this week what happens next? Well, according to verses 14-17, it’s our turn. It’s our role and our job to proclaim the name of Jesus. How will people come to know Him, and his unselfish and love drenched act of grace for us on the cross, if we don’t share it with them? Think about the people you come in contact with on a daily basis. The acquaintances you say hi to, or who serve you your meals at your favorite restaurant every Wednesday, do they hear you speaking of the Jesus you now know so well? Not some television portrayal but the real, true, fully man, fully God, Jesus.

What are some practical ways you can sprinkle in some more Jesus in your daily life?

If you were on trial as a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?

What things do you need to do or not do as a result of these verses…this chapter?
