“I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” 2 Timothy 4:1-5 ESV
No man can claim truth outside of the Lord’s will. All creation is subject to the scientific processes put in place by Jehovah God. And if you’re thinking in your head “ya, that’s right, and those people are wrong” or “exactly, go tell those people that!” you may still be wrong. There is a very thin line which can only be walked by focusing on Jesus’s work on the cross and resurrection from the grave. Everything else becomes a blurred vision of the Creator’s world and the bending of it by His creation, us. Many tragedies have been carried out in God’s name. Many bigotries and agonies have been thrust upon others in God’s name. And many elitist have stiff armed their fellow man by use of God’s name.
I don’t think that is what He intended at all. I think when we don’t focus on Him, and pay more attention to antics around us and don’t see God’s fingerprints on each human, we sell Him short on our “being created in His image”.
Let us not become easily entangled or entrenched in petty arguments or politics at the loss of helping our fellow man. Let our hearts first seek to help our brethren rather than define them by any classification. Let us be known for our love for one another instead of our divisiveness. And let our hearts turn back to the one who is worthy of all the glory, all the praise, and all the honor…the Lord our God☝️, his son Jesus Christ✝️, and the mighty indwelling of the Holy Spirit🙌!
