Join the Masses

“Disciples cannot be mass produced but are the product of intimate and personal investment.”

If God had intended us to reproduce discipled by following a specific program, or spending a certain amount of money, or by memorizing certain biblical passages and scriptures, He would have told us.  But He did not tell us…He showed us!  He sent His son, and those 12 were with him day, and night, and day, and night for over 3 years.  They saw how He reacted to everyday situations, how he handled His family, how He ate, how He slept.

They came into a very specific and deep knowledge of who Christ was, and how they too should act and speak and work.  So too the role of discipleship is to be lived out between new believers and mature believers, and then with mature believers and even more mature believers.  There is no magic potion, no lottery to win, no scholarship to apply for.  Discipleship is what makes disciples, and there is no way around it.
